Alvis House services for individuals with developmental disabilities (DD) include Wittwer Hall, an Intermediate Care Facility (ICF/MR); Supported Living programs and Behavioral Intervention programs. The agency is also licensed to provide day habilitation.
Wittwer Hall is open to adult males diagnosed as DD, who have behavioral challenges and need specialized treatment services. Established in 1981, the Wittwer Hall program was the first of its kind in the United States. Programs and services offered at Wittwer Hall include individualized intensive treatment with an emphasis on accountability and responsibility.
Supported Living offers supportive services provided by our staff in the client’s own residence. Clients may live and/or work together to help share living expenses. Alvis House provides support and care to increase independent living skills. Services are provided according to each individual’s needs. Examples of the services provided by Alvis House include crisis counseling, medical monitoring, developing peer relationships, vocational training, social skills and adult daily living skills training.
Our DD Services Division is equipped with highly skilled, trained professionals and staff that are experienced in working with individuals who need intensive behavioral services. Alvis House also works closely with numerous support agencies and other stakeholders for the benefit of our clients.
