Social Worker (LSW/LISW)
Provide substance abuse, program development and mental
health counseling to persons with Mental Retardation. Develop and implement
behavior &/or treatment plans, facilitate individual & group counseling
sessions; facilitate resolutions in crisis situations. Prepare weekly, monthly
reports, activity & education plans. The ideal candidate will
have the following qualifications/experience: Licensed Social Worker (LSW), or
Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW); experience managing programs serving
the MR/DD population. Starting salary range $30K - 35K, based on
education and experience. Must pass a criminal background check and drug test.
QMRP/Program Manager - MR/DD Services
This supervisory position, located at our 15-bed, adult male
ICF-MR facility, is responsible for supervising approx. 12 direct service
staff; completing functional assessments; developing resident training plans;
maintaining liaison with community resources; developing community placement.
The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in social work,
psychology, social services, behavioral science or related field;
12 mos. QMRP experience or related education, training and experience;
12 mos. supervisory experience. Starting salary range $30K - 35K, based on
education and experience. Must pass a criminal background check and drug test.
Cook
Conduct meal preparation and kitchen inventory management
in a residential community corrections facility. Works hours 9am - 5pm &
11am - 7pm. Starting pay rate $10.00/hr; full benefits package available;
experience with food service in an industrial or similar setting preferred.

Habilitation Specialist - FLOATERS (2nd & 3rd shift
Evenings, Weekends)
Monitor clients in our MR/DD residential facility &/or
Supported Living home(s). Implement training plans, assist clients with
daily activities. Minimum qualifications: HS diploma or GED and a valid
driver's license; Experience in direct services for the MR population, and
flexible work schedule a plus. Starting pay rate: $10.00/hr, training provided.

Community Corrections Specialist - FLOATERS
Alvis House is currently seeking individuals who are interested
in flexible work schedules, and available to work at any assigned facility (including
satellite facilities) in order to maintain staffing levels at
all facilities. Selected candidates will be scheduled on an as-needed basis,
for up to 40 hrs. per week. 'Floaters' are considered temporary staff
(i.e., no benefits), and will have first choice for available full-time
permanent positions. The qualified candidate will be responsible for
monitoring residents in their daily activities, assisting with program plan
implementation, and monitoring the safety and security of the facility.
Minimum qualifications: Completion of high school diploma or GED, valid driver's
license; working knowledge or experience in corrections-based environment
or community-based social services environment, a plus. Multiple positions
