This position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of habilitation and behavior-based programming for residents and for completing administrative responsibilities according to Alvis House policies and procedures and the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities; facilitates staff meetings; and provides direct supervision over assigned staff. Qualifications include: A minimum of a Bachelors’ Degree, in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health, or other related field, and 12 months experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and 12 months supervisory/management experience. Home Manager

In the position, the selected candidate will supervise staff & set staff schedules; provide direct services to facility residential clients; assist clients with completion of various programming needs & requirements; personal care needs; documenting clients’ cooperation, activities & behavior issues; ensure health & safety of clients is maintained in accordance with delegated nursing guidelines; monitor facility on a routine basis to ensure safety of clients, staff & the community at-large; ensure clients conduct themselves as directed while in the community &/or other public establishments; maintain client schedule to account for whereabouts of all clients at all times; performs routine coverage duties; meet with program staff & clients regarding specific cases; track client activity in order to ensure information is accurate, consistent & maintained in the proper location & format in accordance with established laws, rules, policies & procedures; receives telephone inquiries from public, clients’ family members, & probation/parole authorities regarding procedures, rules & guidelines & refers to authorized staff; & sorts and distributes mail.

Community Corrections Specialist - Full time & FLOATERS

Alvis House is currently seeking individuals who are interested in flexible work schedules, and available to work at any assigned facility (including satellite facilities) in order to maintain staffing levels at all facilities. 'Floaters' are considered temporary staff (i.e., no benefits), and will have first choice for available full-time permanent positions. The qualified candidate will be responsible for monitoring residents in their daily activities, assisting with program plan implementation, and monitoring the safety and security of the facility.
