PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

I am very fortunate to be the President/CEO of the Alvis, Inc., dba Alvis House. Over the past two decades, while working here, I have seen Alvis House grow exponentially. I have witnessed Alvis House staff being on the cutting edge of evidence / research-based programs, innovative and thought provoking services and service delivery, and having a willingness to go into uncharted areas of community-based criminal justice and family reentry programs.

Each agency is only as great as the employees which comprise that entity. Here at Alvis House, our greatest assets are our employees. We are excited about the talented men and women who come to work to help those who have been faced with challenges in their lives. We give those who are hopeless glimpses of hope, those who are afraid, the courage to ”Open a door and rebuild their life” and those who have no support an opportunity to “Rebuild, reconnect and reinvest.”

Our employees are gifted and bring unique perspectives to the agency. From the recently hired line staff to the most tenured administrator, we are fortunate to have such qualified, concerned and dedicated professionals here at Alvis House.

Many of the interns who start with us in college have moved forward as permanent members of the Alvis House team. Recruitment, retention and career advancement are vital elements on our road map to continued success as a stellar agency.

It is my pleasure to go into the communities we serve and tout our programs, our research and our success stories. What a blessing it is for me as the President to be able to rest assured knowing that each staff person here at Alvis House takes pride in upholding our purpose and our vision. That all employees are vested in making a difference in the lives of those who are underserved, faced with difficult challenges and needing a fresh start. I take pride in being able to celebrate the people who are making a difference in the lives of so many.

Your dedication and your compassion for others has a wide and vast reach in the lives of thousands of people and families across Ohio and beyond. I want to take time to thank you for your commitment to a job well done. Your contributions are what make Alvis House the beacon of light we are in so many communities across this great state.
